When you slam it open from idle, you get a real big POP from the secondaries. Off idle is OK. Air door is several turns tighter on the spring that normal adjustment. Didn't seem to help. I can bump the timing some I think. It's been so long since I set it, don't know where it is. It's probably at least 36 total, don't know initial. Car is sold,
I need to fix this.
Suggestions?
Thanks,
jim.

It may have a lean spot just for a split second. Try adjusting the door the opposite way with maybe only one turn of the spring.
There is a good thread on here regarding secondary door adjustment in relation to the choke pull-off. Read here: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...&PHPSESSID=

The pull-off adjustment did it. I didn't experiment, put it at no clearance. Maybe not best, but presentable for sale.
Thanks,
jim.
