I wouldn't risk it, a couple of bottles of 50/50 antifreeze are a lot cheaper than a new motor

I guess your right the hourly only shows a low of 32 from 11pm till 6am if it even gets that low. I was just going to load up on the trailer tonight instead of the morning

Lay an incandescent drop light under the hood on top the motor, near a water passage. Enough heat will transfer from the bulb to keep it from freezing at 32.

Would it be convenient for you to drain the block?

You would be surprised how warm it will stay with a 100 watt light bulb under the motor and a blanket or tarp over the top to hold the heat in.

FWIW, I had my car sitting on my driveway overnite with nothing but water and a bottle of redline water wetter in it and that night went down to between -5 and -10*C and early the next morning I checked it and the water hadn't even come close to starting to ice over on the top.

I can't take credit for the idea. I know guys who do it on their boats stored in the water at the marina, that's how I came to know about it.
