Is anyone running a Arruzza 511 hemi? I'm looking at buying one and was curious of the street manners and HP numbers. Also have you had any problems? Thanks

I don't know the HP numbers, but Arruzza is top notch, and I would recommend him to anyone wanting a hemi.

i bought a 525 from him a few years back, when it arrived at my home it was in a nice crate and it was complete with carbs and ignition and was ready to go. once it was installed in the car it fired up the first click of the key,i followed the instruction john had included with the motor, it is oil tight and runs great, is perfectly balanced and although i havent had a chance to drive the car as i am sorting out the trans problems ( 4 speed wont come out of reverse cleanly) but i feel the motor will be exceptional, john states, with the 4:10s it just may wrinkle your car up a bit ( so i put in the full connectors)i must also add that the carbs were dialed and feels really crisp and the ignition was dead on. this sumer i hope i will be able to spend some time behind the throttle, stupid trans!!!!!!1

Thanks metalgod, When I called John he says he only offers the 511 and a bigger 750hp race version now. (Can't remember the cubes)What headers did you go with? And how much of a pain is it to get headers on a wide hemi? Thanks again

I used tti's and the stock factory mounts on a correct hemi k frame ( i belive it was a mega parts product)anyway the motor and trans with headrers complete unit went into place perfectly withe exception of having to remove the valve covers as they are modified stage 5 cover( to look factory) i put the motor in from underneath however i also did my cuda with tti's (1970) and i belive the b&e engine compartments are the same dimensions, i put the motor and trans in from up top and installed the headers from underneath and they practically fell into place, just make sure to put the dipstick tube in first or it is almost impossible to install once that mill is in thier.
