When I stepped up from 2 holley 750's,I went with the Pro Systems SV1 so I'm partial to Pro Systems. The new holley ultra looks real nice and Quick fuel makes a quality carb. Will it be street & strip??

99% of the guys cant get one Dominator to run right on the street, your wanting to run two.. Just have two custom carbs fixed in a 4150 flange. It will run well... I ran two 660 center squirters on a 572 Hemi with cnc ported heads, solid roller and lots oif compression... Throttle responce was fanominal, and it run clean too... These carbs were too small, but the car still ran in the 9's with those..

I wanted to do the same thing at one time w/ my hemi. All the hemi gurus told me the Weiand t-rams are too small for a big cube engine and that I was better off w/ what I had...big single plane and 1200 dominator. You ought to look for an Indy t-ram and get the plenum spacer to gain some more plenum volume...b/c even it's on the small side. Or you could always get a 2nd mortgage and have someone build you a custom sheetmetal manifold. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif) Of course this is if you're after max power like I am. I'm not willing to sacrifice power just to have the look of dual quads. I would imagine a pair of 4150s would be much better on the street, but a pair of dominators look so bada$$. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif)

If it's the look two 750 dommies would be the ticket they come with power valves and would be more street freindly http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-0-80186-1/
When I bought my Holley 1050 3-curcuit Dominator, it came with power valves in the primary and secondary. And 88 jets.

Thanks guys: I think you guys saved me a bunch of cash. Hemi Itis, I like that setup, mine will see a bit of strip but it has to be streetable.
Sheldon
I put over 2500 a year on my junk and hope to get to the track 4 or 5 times a year.In these parts in fair weather there's a cruze in every night 'cept Sun & Mon.I knew I needed a large pair of carbs to turn the wick,so when I did my research those are what I ended up with.Took me a while to save up and pull the trigger. There are formulas to calculate how many CFM is required for any given combo.I chose the new design as a stepping stone towards EFI. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif)

don't do it !! get a indy t ram and 2 4150 carbs i ran the 1050 doms on the street for 5yrs on my 606 pumpgas hemi will not cruise well [no powervalves] !!! ive got 1 prosystems 1220 dom on a raybarton intake so far it drives better and runs 2 10ths faster at the track !! but i am in the process of looking in to getting 2 850s or what ever patrick at prosystems recomends ! hemis need 2 carbs to look right !! + my fogger works better on the tunnel ram !!! :
You mentioned that before, and I always think back to that. 1-1050 on the street was a lot better than 2-1050's and....ITS FASTER at the track!
I have an efi bug catcher set-up on an indy tunnel ram, and drivability is awesome...My problem is, the Nostalgia guys aren't going to make an exception to let me run it, so I have a choice to make...
-Single plane intake & either a Dominator or an SV1 -Make a tented top plate for my existing tunnel ram and put a Dominator or an SV1 on it. -Switch my bug catcher over to mechanical injection and forget about streeting it...
I have quotes for all options, but haven't decided. You guys with the SV1's, please keep us posted. My engine is a shade over +700 and I like some of the benefits I see with those...

Jim...Don't you have a tight converter for the nitrous though? I bet the t-ram would be faster if the combo was set up for N/A...looser converter. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1343795-scratchchin.gif)
