Does anyone repop the polished trim around the trunk and rear quarters and also the trim on the leading edge of the hood? Do the repops fit and look OK? Mine is pitted and I don't think it will polish out.

Thanks

I was very unhappy with the Metro Parts trunk lid trim for my car. The piece I got from them at Carlisle looks NOTHING like the original piece of trim and has the wrong contour and shape on the ends. My car is a 71 and I hope the 70 trim look better than the one I got.

I used the Metro trim on my 1970 challenger - front and rear . Installed next to an NOS SE rear finish panel and both front headlight bezels were nos. I was more than pleased with fit and finish.

On my 71 piece the ends are tapered and distorted unlike the original and there is also raised 1/32 edge..unlike the original. I have seen the tapered edges on the 70 model from Metro as well. It just does not look original enough when I put the original and repro side by side but maybe the 70 piece is better.
