I did the seam on my BB E-body for some additional vertical clearance, but the install was straight foward. At some point CSR switched from Allen-head to 6-point-head bolts which allow (at least on my car) for reaching over the top of the engine to reach them, rather than having to drill through the floor / firewall like some people said they used to do for bolt access.

Try bolting it onto the engine. I spent HOURS trying to get all the bell bolts in only to find that one of the holes in the shield was dilled in the wrong spot. I'm not the only one to have that problem. They also charged me to ship the thing back to them for "repairs". In my opinion, It was made wrong and should have been replaced.

Yes, fits good. The only thing had to do was clearance the floor on the right side for the buckle on the strap.. No modification to the pinch weld needed.
