Ok I have tried everything I can think of besides changing the pan. My Tranny pan leaks at the front corner of the passenger side. I tried silicone with rubber gasket, cork and even the new gasket from the dealer for a RH46 and still leaks. I'm at a loss. Anybody had this problem? What should I try next? Is it the pan? or the exaust heating the gasket? or is it some kind of ventilation that's not hooked up?

Hi,

That's right below where the dipstick tube is located. Other members have suggested cleaning the entire area of the transmission, i.e. brake clean, then with it dry sprinkle baby powder. The powder will show the fluid's path.

I would check the o-ring on the dipstick tube, cracks on the end dipstick tube, etc. If it looks good, put a fair amount of gasket RTV around the o-ring, put the tube back in and smear the RTV down around the tube where it meets the case to seal it.

Mike.

I had a couple of leaks. Turned out someone put the wrong gasket on although it looked right, on VERY close inspection you could see it wasn't a perfect fit.

They replaced the O-ring and threw on a new pan with the correct gasket and all is golden.

I believe I found the leak. It's on top of the gear shift lever. And then Its running across the tranny. This lever mechanism is near the neutral switch sensor. How do I fix that?

Sounds like the selector shaft seal, very common.
