Jacked the car up looking for a leak and found ps fluid low and a small drip coming from the hose. After disassambly I had a few shims from a fellow moparts member from awhile back. I followed the tech article and put in another.062 shim.

My question is while I have the mump out should I do anything else while I wait for the hose? Thanks

Any recommendations for where to get the pressure hose?

Not that I can think of except make everything pretty.

I was wondering how thick of shims are you going with?
I have a Firmfeel box (stage 2) but want more road feel so I'm going to add some shims also.

BTW.... car looks good!

the two shims inside the pump were .028 and .030. I added .065...not great with math but I believe that puts me at .123. I followed the article as close as possible...

In the original tech article they used the /6 valve assembly which had .077 total shim but in the Feb issue a reader wrote in and said he went up to .110 and it felt great so I wasn't sure how much to try. I don't want to be draining and pulling that valve assembly any more than necessary of course.
Let me know how you like .123 Thanks.

Maybe put in a resea kit. New front seal, O-ring around can/resivour, and 0-ring from oriface assy to can/pump/body.

IIRC, about $20 through rockauto or local discount parts store.

I added shims to mine, went from .055 to .105.
WOW.....what a difference! It gives a much better feel of the road.
The steering now feels much more like my Acura. Everything in the front end had already been replaced along with a FirmFeel stage 2 steering box and this little modification still made a big improvement.
