Heres what i have. 1976 PLymouth fury very iratic charging. it will work sometimes others not so much. Changed the alternaton and voltage regulator and still having problems. I tested the wires that plug into my feilds on the back of the alternator and they sometimes show voltage othertimes not at all. Brand new battery. Could this be a bad field and load relay? I found a wiring digram and this relay feeds my voltage regulator. So question is where is this relay located and is it the true problem?

Im at wits end any advice would be extremly helpful.

since you've replaced the alt and the reg that only leaves the wiring assuming the reg is grounding well. I'm assuming this is an electronic reg. I'd check/clean the blue and green wire field circuits, the connections/terminals on each wire end
