Anyone run into an issue of having the front flex hose being too short when converting to discs from drums upfront on a 71 ebody? I did the 11 3/4 drum to disc swap, followed e-bergs instructions to the "T" (73-76 a body spindles, mounted calipers to the front, used pin type calipers and brackets) and when using an S.S. e body flex hose (from Right Stuff #FH84 (listed as the correct one), which measured about 13 1/2", which is the same measurement as the old drum hose), the hose is too short. The car is up on jack stands so the suspension is fully extended and the wheels are straight forward. The hose seems to be at least 3" too short to allow some slack. Can someone who has done this swap or can measure the hose on a disc equipped car, let me know the length of the hose? Thanks, Mark

I am thinking the pin type caliper needs a longer hose then the slider type caliper. I am also guessing that since the slider types were more prevalent, that the reproduction hoses were based on that length hose??? Bob- if the caliper was rear mounted, the hose would then need an additional bend, wouldn't that make the hose needed even longer? The calipers were bought new, so I didn't have the original hoses. Thanks
A local member/friend has a 40k mile 72 satellite with factory disc brakes , it has pin type calipers. I don't think the sliders started till at least 73 .
