Where does the CH4B fit in below? I have an AirGrabber and the regular Performer rubbed the air cleaner lid on the hood. My builder prefers the CH4B over the Weiand, but I dont know if it will fit. So does anyone know the car pad height for the CH4B? Stock a) 3.33" Weiand Action + a) 3.25 b) 3.69 CH4B a) ? b) ? Performer a) 3.8" b) 4.8 Street Dominator a) 4.13 b) 5.25 Performer RPM a) 4.9" b) 5.8 Thank you

Its a '71 GTX and I definitely had clearance issues with the Performer - no carb pad.
AFAIK the only aftermarket intake that would fit would be the Weiand as its even lower than stock.
I'd like to get an exact carb pad height for the CH4B to know how much of the horn I can cut off or if I can even use this manifold.
Thanks for your help guys.

How about an Edelbrock StreetMaster? It's like a Street Dominator, only lower I think. I have one in the garage I could measure for you later tonight, where did you reference your a and b measurements from?

Sure, thank you.
a) = front of carb pad and b) = rear of carb pad.
The measurements came off the manufacturer's web sites but it was 2 years ago and was just reading off my notes.

I would think that with an air grabber on a 71 B body it would clear. all I can tell you is a member used the CH4B on his 69 road runner wit ha 440 and air grabber , the air cleaner dented his hood when he shut it because I ASSuMEd the CH4B was stock height because it is NHRA legal.
I read somewhere that it is maybe an 1" taller???
A member has one on a the 440 he put in his 71 Satellite with the std. 71/72 roar runner hood and a stock dual snorkel air cleaner , it fits as far as I know .

Do you know where they measured the carb pad to? Top of the block I take it?
