If you're in or near Lake County and don't mind crossing the border into WI I would recommend the machine shop I used in kenosha. LAM Engines
They did my 383 and I was very happy with the price and the results. I also know that they built 2 other mopars in friends cars and for they all run great.
PM or email me if you want more specific info.

"RUN Forest RUN". Only YOU can prevent forest fires. If you can handle never ending cost overruns, things not fiting, the loss of your garage, your better half nagging you to come in "IT"S MIDNITE FOR CRYING OUTLOUD". All your friends telling you how to do this, this way. Waiting at the front door for back ordered parts that were promised 3 or 4 weeks ago then have at it. Join the party, GOOD LUCK

I am trying to start the restoration of a 1969 #s matching roadrunner I just bought. I am new at this. I played around with cars a little in high school, but nothing to this level. My first car was a 72 satellite sebring plus. Ever since I have had the urge to restore something. If you guys have any tips or suggestions of any kind, it would be much appreciated.
Welcome to the board. Mostly friendly folks here, but your question (in this thread) is what's referred to a "hijack." You need to post your own thread, and it's always best to ask specific questions. Again, welcome...

Thanks everyone for your help. I am in Glen Ellyn, about 45 mins. west of Chicago. I am not afraid to drive though for the right shop. Thanks again.
Then drive to my shop Performance Plus Cylinder Head in Odin,IL 4 hours south. As mentioned there are some shops around you.
