I have a 66 plymouth belvedere with a slant six and a 3 on the tree,,, I have a 65 polara with a 383,,, a 23 spline 4-speed and some other goodies I want to put in this car. Do I need to find a k-frame for this car, or does someone make mounts to put it in. What headers to use? Any input would be greatly apreiated.

Schumacher probably has what you need, but it seems that the K member swap would be the simplest way to go.

you should be able to do it with a stock 383 mount bracket on pas side i believe and a truck mount bb bracket on driver side i believe !

everything im seeing is for v8 cars to start with.
Can I cat the mounts off the polara and use weld them to this k-member? or is that a bad idea.
I'm looking for the easyest way,, but want it to be safe too. I plan on about 450 hp,,, and I'm not affraid to use it.

K frame is easy and plentiful , smallblock and big block are the same and you can techincally use a K from a 66 - 70 B body , the later K's use the new idler arm and you can use the inside the K swaybar from a 70 .

Yes, you need a V8 k-member.

I'd use a '68-'69 or '70 K with the better idler arm.

advanced adapters has everything you would need. they helped me when i put a anc 360 in my 88 jeep wrangler

you can swap in a 1966-1967-1968-1969-1970 B-body V8 k-frame,and then use the 66-72B/66-73 C/70-71 E body big block engine mounting brackets. upgrade your torsion bars also. I did the S6 to V8 on my 66 Belvedere I and can answer most questions....

Or, depending on the car is going to be used, cut off the mounts altogether and go with a Motor plate. I just rode in a BB a-body that had one and it wasn't bad at all!

I wasn't sure about the k-member because my 73-74 roadrunner, satellites need to be swaped for a big block. Cool, Now i'll see if i can find one
