Hi,guys! I usually hang out in the Unlawfl section, but figured this is the venue to get some help for my restoration. I'm in the process of getting my '69' GTX painted...and need some trim pieces replaced! Namely, the rear finish panel..taillight bezels..wheel lip moldings..door sills, and side reflector housings. If ANYONE can direct me to a good source for these items,I'd REALLY appreciate the info! Thanks in advance! Randy B.

The wheel lip openings from Metro GA and the "GTX" lower doors, fenders, quarters, trim and mounting hardware from Mike Ross B/E&A OH and the reflectors from Mike @ B/E&A too......rear trunk finish panel $$$$$ or "fix it as best as you can locally" for way less but driver quality.

Metro has a 69 GTX rear panel, $775 currently out of stock as listed on the website, but perhaps a vendor might have one in inventory, or call Metro, they might have one kicking around, or give you a vendor name that might have one in stock,....there are 2 currently on EBay in the $100-$250 range, but need work, incase you have nothing?

Thanks,Mike! I'll give them a call tomorrow morning. I could put mine back on...but that would really downgrade my new paint job!

IIRC the GTX wheel lip moldings are just Plymouth B Body moldings which are trimmed to end where the belt line moldings begin. If you had your old ones and have a steady hand you could get some regular B body ones and trim them.
And that repop GTX trunk finish panel or repop tail lite bezels are worth every penny. I went thru hell trying to get some originals replated by a pot metal plater - my finish panel ending up getting eaten in their acid tank and destroyed. If you can spring for the repops do it.

The GTX and the full wheel opening trim are the same but different. The GTX wheel opening trim is closed on each end where it aligns with the lower body GTX tirm. If you cut the full opening trim then it will be open and not look that good IMO.

Randy car looks great , I'm afraid when it's finished and you look at the money you spent it will end up a gargae queen. I'd get a hammer and pick a spot and ding it , get it out of the way and have some fun.

John!...bite yer tongue! NO HAMMER!..NO intentional dings and dents! I'm sure they'll happen in the future..but,I refuse to accelerate the time line! ANYONE that knows me,can tell ya the X won't be a "garage"..or "trailer queen"! These cars were made to be run HARD..as well as admired for their "asthetic beauty"!

I would do this only as a last resort. The trained eye will spot this in an instant. That green X is looking great. Is that F5? I have a soft spot for F5 GTX's.

Randy, the wheel opening trim came in a bag with this logo on it and I've been searching for Mopar Authentic Restoration Product, I'll post if I find them.

My friend Richard Elms ( ) after he completed the interior would pour some beer on the carpet just so he didn't have to worry about it anymore.

That good or bad? That's where I got the wheel opening trim for the Y2 GTX above (Metro, good stuff, good service ) and it fit fine if not excellent but those are original SoCA/NM/TX fenders, quarters and sheet metal if that made any difference

I'd buy them again if they were in the Mopar Authentic Restoration Product wrapping

Rear tail light bezels are avail thru BEA .
Although I have not seen them installed so I can't comment on fit .They are not without there flaws. I've seen them in person, and to me they look like redone bezels. The edges are real rounded and soft making the curves.

Rear finish panel is avail from Metro
Same deal, it looks nice but will not pass for an original to anyone who knows the 69 GTX trim.
On the car the 3 pieces may compliment each other very well though. And will most definitely brighten up the back of the car.

Metro side trim is nice, even though the exterior dimensions are ever so slightly wider than OEM. Same deal anyone familiar with the 69 GTX specific trim will catch it they are repops rather quickly. I used them on my former GTX vert and was happy

Metro wheel lip mdgs I can't comment as I've not seen them on a car( my car had originals) , but they look good in your hand

Overall I would say use it all as it will be a big improvement over most any used stuff
