I have never heard of anyone re-popping them. Junk yards, swap meets, or what I'd do- have a bike builder make a new one.

I don't think there's been enough of a market for them, not even on the early B bodies.

You have to look at the tank outside the car. Example: My car is a 69 b body wagon. NO ONE makes a tank for it. I looked at the tank and then at pictures of regular 66-67 b body tank. They are the same tank. Bought it and it fits perfect.

Not saying you will have the same luck as I never saw what a 73 wagon tank looks like. Just that you MAY get lucky.

My wagon is i little different, it's a 65 Falcon but there was no tank available for it either.... I did some measuring & found the tank for a 87 F150 works pretty well.. Had to build different mounts but overall an easy conversion & new tanks are easily available for less than $100...

71/4B wagon tank fits up in the left rear quarter panel behind the wheel tub. Way different than 70 and older. Don't know of any repro tanks but there was a few NOS sending units for wagons floating around.
Good to know about the 66-7 tanks.

my 68 plymouth wagon uses the exact same tank as a 66 - 67 plymouth b body.

I have 72 Dodge wagon, the tank has a very small leak, I cleaned the inside pretty well, I was going to epoxy inside lower half, and it is to me kinda shocking that there is basically only 2 pcs of 20g? steel and 1/2" of space stopping a 22 gal gas fuel inferno in a LR fender bender. Surprised we all made it. I was debating adding a few layers of Kevlar on the outside of tank and bottom for added peace of mind.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

On my '64 there is nothing between the tire and the tank. On a long trip I had a tread separation starting on that tire but caught it before it blew. Would have done a real number on the tank.
