The stuff Resto Rick or Frank Baldason sells is very much like the factory stuff and it works very well.

Are you trying to make it look like it did from the factory?

Did you car come with optional full undercoating?

Do you have pictures of the underside of your car showing where it was originally? Or is most of it still on the car?

There are two basic undercoating schemes for your car. One is the optional full undercoating car, the second was standard undercoating.

Which one did you car come with?

What people call a "non undercoating" car actually did get undercoating. It was just limited to certain areas. Where the full undercoating covered a lot more areas.

From what I understand, there was "Undercoating" and there was "Sound Deadener". The standard was to put the pancake batter style Sound Deadener in the wheelhouses/fenderwells. This was to quell noise from kicking up rocks or other small road objects. More often than not, the rear had a thicker application than the front.
