Anyone got photos of a 59 degree Indy 360-2 head on a 48 degree block with valve train in place. Just wanted to see where the pushrods sit. Will the heads need much grinding on the intake face of the manifold and heads.

I don't have 360-2's, but I do have 59 degree W2 econo's on my engine. It works, its tight, but it works. Had to clearance for push rods.

No problem! Glad I could help. I would say my W2's would be worst case too. The heads are decked .100".

Kenny, the reason I ask is because I didn't like the geometry on a 59 degree block, which is what I have. I know Ryan J has changed a 59 setup to 48 by fitting iron slugs to the original lifter bores and then re-drilling in the new location and adding sleeved lifter bores.I already have the siamese 59 block and rotating assembly which is balanced, but I don't think mopar does a 48 degree R3 block with supplied bores of 3.90. My pistons are 3.96. Can the ritter blocks be supplied with a rough bore of 3.90?

Good question. I forget what my block came at, but we just had another 48 degree R3 come in the door. I will look into it for ya. I would think Kent could sell you a block with the small bore if you wanted to go that route with a Ritter block.

Whats the word on the R3 block that came through ur door? I have a built R1 59* block with custom pistons for boost... but i'm running ported W9 heads and the push rod angle scares me a little because of the lifter bore spacing...Trying to figure out my options.. I have a .650 offest rocker but can only run a 5/16 push rod and again I'm not a fan of that angle.

What r u thoughts?
