smracing OP member S Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 89 moscow mills mo	can you use roller lifters on a flat tappet cam i have a set of 360 roller lifters gifted to me guide holders have been modified for clearance for an rb block will they work ??? just want to try it less drag??

bigtail mopar B Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 489 NE	Flat tappet cam has an angle on the lobe to facilitate the spinning of flat tappet lifters. This will FUBAR your roller lifters or FUBAR your cam. SHORT answer is NO IT will NOT worky! Or you will be spending many months picking up little metal shavings that will kill your oil pump and bearings. Use only roller lifter on roller cam and visa versa. Good Luck! This page is made up completely of recycled electrons.
