Car has sat for 6 or 8 mo. Ran maybe once. I had trans leak, determined selector shaft seal, replaced, about 2 wks. ago, dry! Woo Hoo! Then did header swap, exhaust redo, fired up today first time. Checked cooler lines also suspect, good! Then after shutting down, OHH _____! After runnign about 30 minutes, drips from bellhousing. I'm fearing front pump seal, but hoping maybe from sitting so long. Will it seal up after some run time? I have type F fluid, Dexron help? Any of those transmission "stop leak" additives work? I just put the X-pipe exhaust back together.
Help?

jim.

Try some LUCAS trans additive. Great stuff. If it doesn't work you may have to pull the tranny and reseal it.

Thanks, Sadler I'll try that first have some small exhaust leaks to fix. And then, if it's still there I'll try indy's advice. Trying to sell, don't want to break the time bank!

I'd take a look at the pivot rod too while you're under there.
