I started this deal a few weeks ago, and I have threads on other sites about it but this site seems to have more interest. 72 Dart with a 451 and about to have a Viper 6spd.

Should work, it bottoms out on the pedal box at the same time the master does. Have since installed pedal stops to dial it in.

A view of the clearance, trans is 1/4-3/8" higher than it needs to be...

So all you had to is change the disc? Or did you have to buy a new flywheel and clutch?

It looks good! Better than mine, which is currently undergoing a similar transformation. Mind has 3.90's right now and I'm considering going to 4.56's with that .5 to 1 sixth gear. Or I might just leave it alone.
Like I said, not as pretty as yours. Yet. Mine also has about 5 inches of set back to it which is why the firewall is cut out like it is. Hopefully I will be able to get into a house with a garage so I can leave the car "in progress" and not have to package it up every time I want to work on it. Makes it hard to work up the enthusiasm to tinker with it.
The reasons for setting the engine back are twofold: one is the rear sump canton road race pan which now clears the center link with ease. Two is just better weight distribution for handling. Ought to make for a fun handling car though. Provided I ever get it done.

6spds are mostly used in cars that can take corners. Good luck on your swap. In a couple weeks I'm gonna have more updates. Will have a clutch/flywheel slave cylinder and a new oil pan.
