When bolting two objects together with a nut and bolt, and you have access to both, which side is the correct side to torque from?

Torque the bolt or torque the nut???

Thanks

Frank

Thanks John.

That seems to be the concensus amongs the garage buddies, but I always like to look outside for additional opinions.

Thanks again,
Frank

Definitely the nut. Many times I've tightened the bolt end and the nut was still able to be turned a little more.
