MOPAR HEADQUARTERS IN ALDEN NY

all your big block mopars have front worm gear drive on camshaft, for itermediate shaft. when engine runs worm drive pulls cam to back of block. cam is only guna bounce the distance of drive gap, my fourspeed cars have front roller buttons on cam fronts for no bounce with high rpm shifts.

hi the cam lobes are ground with a taper that the lifter face is always presssig cam rearward, this angle also causs the lifter to rotate ! roller cams have no taper and need a button !

Correct answer... If you use a roller cam you need a thrust button, otherwise the lobe taper takes care of thrust... But a thrust button won't hurt anything & many high performance builds run one...
Okay, so if the cam is always being pulled toward the rear of the block, then what keeps the cam gear from running into the block?
Sorry for the ignorance, just trying to understand.
