I just brought this bird up from florida, it was a 383 4bl, with bench and column shift, B5 blue/on blue originally....the car has no motor/trans. i have acquired a 4 spd trans, black bucket seats, a 440 engine both correct for this year... the floors have minor holes, the rear quarters bad in lowers, trunk is toast, and the right side trunk extensions as well,as the outer w/w... but the good news is the rest is solid and strong, this bird needs the love it deserves, so, all new sheet metal, including full quarters, full floor, trunk, and done properly on a rotisserie, this will be my first full resto on a B body, so any info on parts and "how to" will be a great help...wish me luck, lol

Dig through the restoration section and find other B-Bodys where they replaced quarters. If you care about numbers keep in mind there is a partial VIN stamped on the left side rear quarter trunk rail (and one on the radiator support). Also check out the discount section for savings on some parts (including AMD sheet metal). B5 RR's are sweet!

i didn't realize their were numbers hidden, i'm a newbie at this, maybe i should go with skins as opposed to full quarters? they really are only bad at the bottoms,a few inches or so, thanks for the tips, here is the engine i have found, it shows E440, dated to '69...253643010 that translates to an RB440, any ideas if this is a good one to rebuild? and any books on "dummies guide to rebuilding" lol, HELP?
