A friend has a 48 Dodge Panel Truck street rod. It has a Volare/Aspen front end in it. He is looking to improve the braking.
Does anyone know if there are bigger rotor and capiler kits out there that will mount on the stock F-body spindles?

The 11.75" rotor with corresponding caliper adapter works great. Cordobas are good donors for both and the adapter is compatible with the F body calipers.

I've run this setup on several A bodies, an M body and a 64 300 I converted to discs. Also on my 38 Plymouth (that was an entire front suspension swap though).

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

There are a ton of kits that bolt to a stock F body knuckle. Baer has kits that go as large as 15 inch rotors with billet 6 piston calipers.

Stange that you mention Baer Brakes. My friend told me that he had called Baer and the person that he talked to said that they did not make any kits for Mopar F-Body cars.

Baer has a bunch of kits that fit F body spindles. T4, 6P, and 6S kits, etc. I'd think that most of their kits would fit any FMJ body car. The only thing that might not fit right out of the box would be the brake hose. You might need a custom brake hose but that isn't a big deal.

If you don't want to go with Baer then give DoctorDiff a call. He has a 14 inch rotor kit that will fit on the F body knuckle. My 13 inch Viper kit will also fit those knuckles. I'm sure that Wilwood has kits also. So there are a ton of kits available for F body knuckles. I covered all of this in my B-body book if you want to see pictures of all the kits.

I would guess that he will be limited on his rotor diameter due to the fact that his wheels are a 15x7 Torque Thrust.
