there are three variables that determine the volume of oil flowing through the engine. pressure, viscosity and engine clearances. an increase in pressure or clearances will increase flow, a decrease in viscosity will increase flow. this is of course assuming the pump has not reached it's capacity.

We have used a 6" deep aluminum pan, 8 Qts oil, stock volume oil pump, single line system for over 10 years. We have run a variety of upper end oiling and rockers- Stock, Mopar/DLI, Stage V, Barton, Jesel; full time rocker oiling w restrictors, oil thru the pushrods, Barton spray bar. Hundreds of runs at 8600+ RPM, no problems.

To the OP,I have a 440 Source billet oil pump cover for the external pick up if you are interested. I also have some new Manton push rods with .040 restrictors in them. PM me if you are interested.
