Hello,
I need a recommendation and/or help.
Right now I am building a 65 Dodge Coronet for street/highway use.
As I live in Germany the goal is to modify it to be able to drive
100mph+ without any problems.
So far I am in the final stage of what to do with the front end but I do not know
what to do with the leaf springs. Right now I have the stock 21" front
segment and the 35" rear segment.

Options are:
1) Using the right hangers to use A-Body leafs (20"/35") or
2) Using the right hangers to use E-Body leafs (22"/35") or
3) Using 21"/35" Leaf Springs but I do not know anybody selling them.
How will the driveability be affected if I (sometimes) want to got 150mph+?
Is it better to go with a longer or shorter front segment?

thanks a lot
Dennis

I'd go with the shorter hanger and the 22 inch E body spring. Talk to the guys at Firm Feel. They'll have the correct springs and hangers for your '65 Dodge. I don't think any other suspension vendor carries the correct stuff for the early B body cars.

Mopar circle track springs are 20.5" front segment. That might be an option.

Mopar to the bone!!!

but how will the driveability be affected?
lets say both springs have 120lbs/inch, both have the 35" rear segment,
but one has the 20" and the other the 22" front segment. is that noticeable?

For drag racing you want the shorter front segment. For cornering I'd go with the longer front segment and a shorter hanger.
