a 440-1 has the same outer dimensions front to back as a stock iron head.

You will need room for the external oil lines.

No extra room is needed for the oil lines.

Oil lines are recessed in the head forward of the back of the casting.

I never did with indy rockers...I do with spray bars though for T&D rockers.

I use a #10x32(maybe #6x32 sbrass set screws, CRS) screw in Holley air bleed with .021 orifice size and then drilled it out to .039 I installed both of them, one for each line, in the bottom of the male 8/ NPT to 1/4 inch flare adapter going to the oil line to the heads from the T in the block I have a set of single shaft T&D on my SR headed street motor and a set of Harland Sharp single shafts on my 440-1 bracket motor, both with .039 ristrictors now. I treid .120. 085 and now the .039, they seem to work the best so far, I'm a little leary to try and go smaller.

Indy suggested 0.30 restrictor for strictly track..since my 572 sees more street they ,suggested to go with 0.40....cab burge i to also run an electric gauge, what i choose to do was run a steel brade line in the car and then install the sender,,,so far no tech issuse...gave me much more room... pat
