No piston clearance issues with removing the washer on spark plugs (Champion N11YC 13/16")? Know some run without the washer, but want to confirm will not have clearance issues if plug runs down 2-3 more threads without washer.

Stock iron head crate Hemi. Have a leaky tube, checked for distortion, heard a plug w/o washer will seat better, with more surface area.

Thanks!

people swear both ways by it, use them or don't use them.

if you think that will help the issue, then try without them. do all 8 of course

The spark plug TUBE is your washer, no washers on the plug, using washers distorts the tube seat, inviting leaks

All the factory motors including the high compression race motors came with the washers installed, just like they disegn them for Sounds like you need some Mr Gasket or Milidon spark plug tube seals

I have three Mopar original FSM 1969,70 and 71 Plymouths and reproduction 1969 Dodge FSM, none of them say to remove the stock spark plug washers I have seen the bottom of the stock tubes pull out by people who removed the stock washers
