HELP WITH FUEL CELL #1162185

I am building a new fuel cell out of aluminun i need to know how you are doing your return and vent in the top of your cell are you welding the bungs in the top or are you useing the type that you just slide in a hole and put aseal and nut on if you are useing the welded one what fitting are you useing to screw the roll over valve to THANKS

WELD bungs into the top. Only way to do it!

WELD bungs into the top. Only way to do it!




Well the welding bungs part he got right, but it doesn't have to be at the top of the cell necessarily. I coiled tubing inside and brought the return line in from the bottom front on the last fuel cell I had made. In fact, I used a aluminum block that had two 3/4 NPT holes in it and welded it inside the cell and inside there is a fuel line that is coiled that lets the fuel return near the top of the tank..

I welded 2 bungs in the top of the tank I built

MR P BODY or anybody else what bungs are you useing pipe thread or the AN thread what i am havng a problem with is getting the roll over valve mounted in the cell i was going to use #8 AN female bung but i have only been able to find stander pipe thread bungs which the roll over valve won't fit THANKS

I used pipe thread on the bungs... if you want use a
braided hose to the roll over valve... or tap the
bung with straight threads
