Had my Challenger out today to let it warm up in the driveway. Started fine when I pulled it out of the garage. Pulled it back in and tried to restart it....nothing. Won't turnover, no solenoid click...nothing. Also, headlights/taillights do not work now. Dome light works when you open the door, but when you switch the headlights on, it shuts off. Battery tested at about 12.5V and was charging when I had it running. Checked the fusible link and it is continuous and same with the back of the ammeter gauge. Any suggestions on where to look? Oh, by the way, I hate electrical problems. Thanks in advance.
Burke

Try checking the bulkhead connectors on the firewall. Maybe unplug, squirt some contact cleaner in the connections, plug in again.

I had something like this happen with my Satellite and all I did was unplug the connectors and plug them in again and it was fine.

I had this problem with my Barracuda and found the smaller of the 2 wires running from the positive battery post was spliced and come apart. I cut the wire and hooked it back up and she fired up. Hope yours may be that simple.

I'd clean the batt posts, the neg cable, both ends then work downstream on the positive side toward the bulkhead, cleaning each connection. No recent wiring repairs under the dash?

I would agree with this one. I once had a truck die like that. After a lot of guessing, I started to go through every thing. It turned out to be the negative battery cable where it attached to the motor. Cleaned that up with a little sand paper and all was good.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.

Hey Burke....did you try leaving it in neutral and jumping the starter relay with a screwdriver? Sounds like a bad connection, bad starter relay or possibly the neutral safety switch or clutch switch.

Yer neg terminal on batt is dirty.
