Just a few more pics of the work in progress. The body repairs are finished on the passenger side of the car..and it's in primer. 2-3 trouble spots had to be ground out..patched-up..and filled in. Looks REAL SWEET! Well..didn't do the door jambs today. Instead,I was helping Tony with some metal patch work on the driver side of the car. Here are a few pics...the other pics are at the end of this post..SORRY! Randy

that's coming along quite nicely. are you doing most of the work yourself, or is it on someones shop? i'm assuming the rate of progress is based on the fact that it was already in "pretty good" shape to begin with. it's a lot of work nonetheless.

Thanks,Dan! The X was in "good" shape..but was a little rough around the edges,so to speak! It had some rot..previously done body work was shabby at best..and the paint was second-class...and OLD! One of my neighbors is doing the work..with some sanding and prepping help from me. So far,I'm VERY PLEASED with his progress..he's a perfectionist...not a bad thing! Take care! Randy

Thanks,Lew! Should have a few more next Wednesday night. We plan on sanding and prepping the door jambs that day. Randy

Al..I wasn't around when Tony sprayed the primer, but I'm sure he taped off the glass when he laid it down! Doug..NO vinyl top..he just didn't get to the roof yet. There are some flaws in the metal, just above the driver side drip rail..they look like spot welds..a series of small "dents" that have to be smoothed-out. T-Boom..Not sure when the X will be TOTALLY back together and on the streets again,but...it'll be MUCH better looking! ...and SHOULD be faster,as well!

...and re-ring pistons..install new connecting rods,re-balance the rotating assembly, replace ALL the bearings..ceramic-coat the TTI's...re-wire EVERYTHING under the hood..etc...etc..!! LOTS of "stuff" to do before it's ready to hit the street,or track...but should look MUCH better than before! Thanks for the kind words..and ALL your help with this project,Randy!..REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

Lookin' sharp. I was guilty of changing the color on mine when I had it, and I grew to regret it. It's cool you're staying with green.

Thanks,Nick! Came real close to going with a dark red..but,I kept it green...hopefully I won't regret it...don't think I will! Like a LOT of people have said...green looks good on the B-Body's! I know of one certain A-Body from the Indianapolis area that sure looks GREAT in a BASF Foose custom green!!! AWFUL FAST,as well!
