Running a transplanted 440 in my 71' Roadrunner. Using the stock 23 spline 4 speed that came with the 383.

Basically look for a good street clutch that will give easier pedal effort and longevity. The stock one in my car right now (still with the original 383) takes some serious leg muscle to operate. Any recommendations?

Was thinking of a stage two style clutch to help with the added power and weight (4000lbs give or take).

Just want to see what others say.
I'll be in the market for a clutch pretty soon too.

I ran McCleods for years.Heavy pedal though.Installed a Center Force dual friction about 10 years ago in my 65 B built 440.Light pedal, hooks great and lasting good.When it needs replaced Ill probally go the same route.Rocky

I am assuming you are using 10.5" flywheel. This would be a good diaphragm clutch (light pedal effort). McLeod uses 10 7/8" disc with the 10.5" wheel.
