as the post heading says - is anyone using one of these yet for street/strip. they do seem priced right and i think my 825 mighty demon might be in for a change as it has become more niggley to tune. Specifically i am asking about the 850 ,#8084 , model.seems to be as big as a hp1000 copied from Holley :
Important note: Venturi sizes vary considerably from previous Holley i.e new 950CFM is larger than the previous 1000CFM, the new 850CFM is larger than the old 950CFM etc.
Part # Venturi Diameter Throttle Bore Description
0-80803BK 1.375” 1.687” 750 CFM Shiny Aluminum Ultra HP - with Black Billet
0-80804RD 1.562” 1.750” 850 CFM Shiny Aluminum Ultra HP - with Red Billet
0-80805RD 1.625” 1.750” 950 CFM Shiny Aluminum Ultra HP - with Red Billet
By the way i have tried a hp950,smaller then my 825, and lost 3/10's plus MPH thoughts
