works great i have one.
just remember you can only plastic weld the same type filler and base materials.
cross type doesent work like pvc to pvdf etc

I've got one that utilizes shop air. Controlling the airflow is key.

Takes practice, but a lot of the same principles as welding metal apply.

I bought one and it works well. Little learning curve on the heat application and yes, you have to be sure you id the types of plastic so you use the correct welding rod. It is amazing how it holds together as you would think the plastic has to puddle like steel welding but that is not the case. I do wish they made the rods black but I understand the logic of color coding the different types of plastic.
