Ok, so Im rebuilding the center carb, first of all, the metering block to bowl gasket is not the same, close, but not perfect, second, these carbs were dirty carbs when I got them, and the metering block gasket is missing and I have nothing to compare that gasket to. What is the correct gasket for this carb? I cand read the directions, the print is VERY small, and blurry as hell. basically there is 3 gaskets to choose from, a black one, and 2 blue ones. 1 blue one has a cut out for the squirter hole in the carb body, I dont think thats the correct one as it will not seal to the hole on the metering block, the 3rd one has the squirter hole in it, but looks like the black one, but is missing 1 little hole up by the rectangle center hole.

Pretty damn confusing for a simple carb.

IS THERE A CHANCE i HAVE THE WRONG MEETERING BLOCK ON THIS CENTER CARB?

Do they have a specific part number for the meetering block, The number on mine is 34r-7235b, I have a metering block off of my 4150 750 holley. Will it work? also this meetering block have the vacume tube port on the side, no tube inn it, but the port is open.

I think it the wrong meetering plate, I have a meetering plate off a 750 4150 holey, and its a 5101 meetering plate. Im gonna run that one.

Yes disregard the outer carb pic..That was a pic of the Promax secondary metering plate...As is the black metering block...But the gasket should be what you need and the other metering block is an original 6-bbl piece for you to compare... I would'nt suggest mixing up the metering blocks...Let's just keep it simple and say they are different...

I don't have the metering block numbers in front of me at the moment...But off the top of my head I'm thinking you've listed a valid number for the center carb metering block...Does'nt it look like the one in my pic {other than the tube you need to add for the distributor vac advance} ??? What makes you think it's the wrong block ??? Just asking...

because the gasket set I have wich is 3 of the same kit, none of the metering block to bowl gaskets fit my metering block. They all are wrong as far as slignment dowl spacing. Also have some alignment dowl broken off on the back side that align it to the carb body.

Well there you have it...But the dowel would'nt be a deal breaker for use...Next question would be {to cover all the bases} did the block numbers get superseded with any new/repop units ???

It's not looking good... Obviously not an original piece and could be the reason for a dowel alignment issue...Not what you want to hear but you may be looking for a replacement...

Well The good thing is that this is not going on a numbers car, its going on a ramcharger, and I already spoke with the guy I bought the set up from, and he has other parts for me, so I just need to get with him.

Either way, Ill get things figured out,

Kasey

The metering block from my 750 stamped 5101 is warpped really bad, I forgot thats why I put billet blocks on my 750, so Ill scrap that idea, and go for a different metering block all together.

Thanks guys

Here is the correct metering block to main body gasket for the 2300 series carb, blue non-stick version.
