It's been about 2 or 3 months since I've started my car. I finally started it yesterday, and it was making a very loud ticking/knocking noise at first, then it started to quiet down after a few minutes. I'm guessing that my lifter bled down and took a while to pump back up? Is that normal? It had always seem to make a slight tick sound, I thought could have been an exhaust leak, but now I'm having second thoughts. The noise only came from No 1 or 3 cylinder. COuld the hydraulic lifters be going bad, or the pushrods be slightly short? They feel tight when trying to turn them by hand.

Don't worry about it. It was lifter bleed down. fairly common after sitting a while.
