They both bolt to a stud near the wiper motor and the other ends go diagonally to the fender bolts on either side. Questions. 1. Are they only on 72's 2. Are they body color or black, (i have only seen black) 3. What is their purpose? 4. Do I need them or can I leave them off '72 Road Runner '72 Dart Swinger 340 '12 Challenger R/T

As to how much different they really make, probably not that much. They can't control any flex side to side, just fore and aft along their length.

The shake is an issue on previous generation cars too. That being said, they were deleted on N96 cars due to clearance to the air box. That's a 72-only issue. A lot of guys put them on anyway, including the PO of my car. -Jim I can fix it... my old man is a television repairman. He's got the ultimate set of tools... I can fix it. Currently Mopar-less
