I painted the fan along time ago. At the time, I wasn't able to remove the fan spacer and just painted it with the fan. I'm taking everything apart to redo correctly. I got the spacer off and see remnants of an "ENGINE SIDE" stamp and orange paint/glue on the fan and spacer.
Has anyone seen this orange paint before? Was it a paint mark or was it glue to hold the spacer onto the fan before assembly? I'm wondering if the orange paint would have been visable on the snout of the spacer once it's installed. The orange paint ran down inside on of the bolts holes and is completely around the snout of the spacer. It looks like it was applied to the spacer and not the fan.
