roadrunner7070 OP master R Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 2,640 Port Reading, NJ	The fender tag on my 70 Roadrunner has a strip of metal about the length of the fender tag and about 1/2" wide underneath it attached with one of the fender tag screws. Does anyone know what this is? It has 2 letters a "V" and "T" stamped right through it.

stumpy I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 32,971 Grand Prairie,Texas	That's an inspection tag. Usually they are removed at the end of the line at the factory after final inspection.

Thanks. I wonder if I should paint it the same color as the fender tag and let it stick out from under the tag.

Except mine just has the letter "E" I never knew what it was, I just assumed it was some option that was added to the car after it left the factory or something like that.... I just repainted it the body color and put it back on.
