I have a '73 RR that I am tearing the interior out of. The Sail panels (hard plastic interior trim at the rear quarter windows) came out in chunks. No re-pops that I have been able to find and good used ones seem quite rare. Year One and Legendary offer cloth covered cardboard replacements and I have been told that this style was used stock on 71-2 cars. Can any one confirm this? Has any one done this conversion on the 73-4 cars?

My 72 Satellite Sebring Plus had a white interior with white cardboard sail panels.

71/2 Plymouths had cardboard and 73/4 had plastic. Don't think that they will interchange because the quarter glass opening on the sail panel is different between to two. 73/4 is more straight up and down while 71/2 is angled forward.

Year One/Legendary, and others offer them as covered cardboard or bare cardboard. A site called stockinteriors.com is supposed to get me a picture of the 73-4 Pieces. If one of you stumbles on a good set, colour unimportant, give me a shout please.

Close but no cigar. The rear window opening is shaped differently on mine. Too bad, I live about a 2 hour drive from these people.

Get a set of the hard plastic 73-74 pieces and paint them to match your interior color.

73/74 sail panels should interchange fine.

The catch is the rear interior panels.

74 has a two piece (for the retractable shoulder belt assembly) that the previous third gens do not.

Also, if you got the base coupe, your windows do not roll down, and the panels do not have holes for window cranks.

I have a 74 RR that I got a free 73 Satty interior for.

I have holes for window cranks I do not need, and had to cut the panel to accept the seat belt inserts.

Your mileage may vary as I have heard some rumor that non rolling and rolling rear window body styles may have different sail panel shapes, but the shapes look exactly the same to me.

Daytona.....I already have the hard plastic panels, they came out in pieces. So far Gluing them back together is not working out all that well. Good used ones are hard to come by so that is why I am looking at replacing them with the carboard-upolstered ones. It ain't a show car or a trailer queen.
RA3......I am talking about the interior Sail Panels. The ones between the rear quarter window and the rear hat shelf.

There's always someone parting 73-74 plymouths in the for sale section, see if you can scoop up a set. Like has been already mentioned, the 71-2 stuff is different enough to not work.
