Do you have factory trailer hookup wiring? Most all newer cars and trucks have separate fuses for headlights and taillights now so I would check all the light fuses. Some have fuse panels under the hood and inside cab also.

Do you have brakelights? I would be checking the multi-fuction switch on the column.

I got fooled one time and by mixing up which bulb i was checking. The brake light and turn light are separate. If not you may have to check for codes in the fcm I think. I had one similar where once we cleared the codes it worked fine and hasnt been a problem since.

no break lights, it seems that with the factory trailer lights, that they are seperate wires all the way to the front. And they work. I could rig them up and i can get the rears to work with by tying into the traier wires. But that wouldn't be totaly right

If you have to force it, then somethings wrong!

The TIPM (Totaly Intigrated Power Module) is a very good possibility. If you can, locate the connector and circut on the underside of the tipm. Back probe the connector with a T-pin ( like the ones they sew with) and turn on the signal and check for power if it does the TIPM is ok. They also been known for corroded wiring in the same area under the TIPM.

Love it when people "back probe" by jamming the t-pin through the wire...

Be careful on jumping the wires to the trailer brake lights. I lost my TIPM last spring getting some help from someone setting up trailer brakes for me doing this exact thing. Ended up losing the trailer brake light. Do a google search on this module, you'll see a lot of issues here. Good luck.

Thats not what i ment. Back probe the connector. Should have been more clear on that. Sorry. Make sure the T-pin you use easily fits in the backside of the connector along side the wire.

I knew what'cha meant. Some people that are in my auto tech class backprobed by jamming a t-pin through the wire... makes me wonder what goes through their mind.

Hopefully a T-pin!
Have had to fix a lot of wiring because of this kind of tech!
