Who's are you using and why....These are the one's i'm looking at....

RPM Performance....No dash but semi-local to me
Altronics....Data Quest with nice touch screen dash
Racepak....Most common with the racers and has a good dash

I know most will say Racepak but i'm weighing all options....RPM was my first choice being close and most reasonable sensors but no dash available...Altronics is fairly new to data loggers but not to electronics and i really like their dash and reviews are good(also they have a really kool new electronic shifter).

All of these companies have great customer support and service according to lots of users/racers....

Gary......like you said everyone will say it......

Buy it from Joe Oplawski at hyperaktive performace solutions, and tell him I sent you...he will take good care of you.

Your nitrous guy I think will agree on this as well

Joe answers his cell phone everytime you need a hand or cant get something quite figured out. Well worth it!!!

RPM = the best! very easy to use and understand and the customer service is great! Also, the instalation is very professional with exact sized cables and good solid connectors. I use one on my car and love it! Very affodable and easily upgradable too!

Altronics = junk! I tried one of there systems a while ago. customer service sucks and the system NEVER worked properly from day one! I sent my data recoder unit back 4 times and was charged each time and it still never worked right! Stay far far away from that junk!

Racepak = $$$$$ a lot of the pros use it but I believe they get a discount to use it so that the sportsman guys will fork over serious $$$$ to buy them. I don't know how the customer service is. They pay contingincies for racers using their system, but if you are not running national events or points meets there is no reason to use them, RPM does the exact same things, for a lot less $$$ and the customer service is great!

Data is data... it comes down to 3 factors... are the
sensor and the recorder accurate(are the sensors calibrated
to the recorder)... then you have the speed of recording
that data(how many readings per minute/second) and
finally is it easy to read/retrieve the data... I
use a recorder that is easy, called a Informer... dont
even know if its still made... works well for the
data I retrieve... has a on board readout or can be
down loaded.... I have been reading data for over
35 years(from writing it down with a pencil) to reading
100s of data points on all different styles of recorders

Actually he uses a RPM and said use the $$$$ you save somewhere else on your car but did say it was easier to get help at the track for the racepak as there are more users...Looks like RPM has a good following tho...Thanks guys

All i can tell you is i got a Racepak sportsman, added O2 sensor, Pan Vac sensor. Now im about the cheapest do-it-yourselfer out there.....
When it comes to things like this, and engine parts, etc i try to buy the best once, then your done. All you have to do is look through for sale ads, all you see its people saying they are up-grading to a Racepak, thats what swayed me, i was looking at the RPM stuff also and it seems very nice and the price is definitely good.
Gary if i can use the data logger so can you. And wait till you see the info you get and whats going on that you never realized. Defenitely a wise choice and i can honestly say i dont know how i raced without it

....BAD A$$ STREET CAR.....

I started with a Racedata dash and lot's o sensors. They went t!ts up.
It worked great for a couple of years, and if they were still in business, I would have upgraded their stuff and continued, but they're not. So I was gun shy after that and went with RacePak-Sportsman. They have been great and even added an option for more sensors recently. Plus everybody has one and knows how to use their stuff. The others might be good as well, but I wasn't willing to take another chance.
