This project has been years in the making. The beginning of this story starts in 2007 when my then boyfriend (now husband) helped me design a rocket. He's an Aerospace Engineer, but I was more concerned with the paint and "theme" of the rocket. I designed the rocket as a Lil Red Rocket in homage of the '79 Lil Red Express my dad had when I was younger. I had planned on it being my first vehicle and painting it pink (I was eight). Dad sold that truck a few years later, but this year my husband blindfolded me on Christmas morning and gave me a big surprise! It was a '79 D100 that his Uncle bought in '86. When his Uncle bought it the previous owner had already converted it to a semi LRE clone. Since '86, the stacks were removed and it has been repainted. My plan is to return it to a quasi LRE clone.

Below is a picture of the rocket inspired by the truck which in turn inspired my Ford loving husband to buy another Dodge truck.

The truck as I saw it on Christmas morning. Sitting behind "Staxxx" my brother-in-law's F250 with 8" International Stacks.... Did I mention I'm surrounded by Ford lovers?

Velour everywhere. Used it to create a headliner and even put it on the door panels. The speaker box has been donated to my brother-in-law's RX-7 project. Velour was stripped before I even began to tackle the rat/squirrel nest under the hood

The squrriel/rat's nest that helped me get the truck. Husband's Uncle was "planning on doing something with it" until he saw this beauty.

Wondering why my husband is taking pictures instead of helping. Don't ask why I'm standing on a four wheeler...

The horrid velour gone

That should make a cool project Joy. I bet you could get some help out of old Dad.
