Setup: 70 Duster, 360 with 2 1/2" TTI headers and mini starter.

I'm needing to remove my z-bar and re-locate it an inch higher. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove it without spending hours under the car? When removing the stud that goes through the frame, any tips on how to hold that stud in place while removing the nut on the back?

Some people say it's a breeze and others have said it's a nightmare. I remember it being a nightmare to get in so I thought I would check for any tips/tricks!

Thanks all!

The stock stud has two flats machine into the ball side of it, get a open end wrench that fits over it and then loosen the nut on the outside of the frame bracket, it should slide up out of the frame bracket when it is loose enough Don't loose the two halves of the nylon bushings that go on the ball of the stud on the bell housing I use a rubber band to hold them on the ball stud, you can probally use some thin wire or a tiny tyrapp also to hold it together while sliding the Z bar onto it don't we love 4 speed cars

You answered your question, spend hours underneath the car.

B body is completely different than the A body.

Plasma cutter.

Unbolt and work it out of the space, like most other stuff on the car.
