My needle/seat threads on my outboard carb disintegrated. Anyone know where I may able to find a replacement float bowl?

I tried using one from a 750 dp - but it has an acc pump and alas leaked like a sieve..duh..,

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks!

I had this happen once. Any machine shop worth its salt should be able to drill it out & thread it to take an external-internal threaded part.
I can go to my freind who did it & be able to tell you exactly what part to use if you wish.

If you can't find one, then JB weld the acc pump area on the DP bowl you have.

Drill and tap the hole in the accel pump boss for a fine thread like a 6/48 and screw it in with a little JB weld and never look back. Or buy a new bowl, look on ebay under six pack carbs/auto parts, accessories and there are vendors there that can sell you the bowl.

E-bay auctions....

# 130251505740 (4 days, 5 hours to go)
There's a bunch of others on there also. Most are in the $19 range for normal bowls, Then there's a couple bright zinc colored, and a few chromed, more in price of course.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I like the drill and tap idea to close the acc pump opening. JB weld only sounds a little too risky - any leak and hot engine would not be a good thing.

Thanks for the link too, I looked for bowls the holley site but all but the marine application had an acc pump -

I may try the drill/tap method and in mean time have the carb guru Bill Overcash repair the original bowl.,

Thanks everyone
