Thanks guys, I haven't been able to go look myself, but had a friend go and tried to talk him through it on the phone. He's a chevy guy, so it's been tough talking him through it.
He can't find the VIN on the dash, says it's rusted right there. Is that where the VIN should be located on a 69, or is it down around the door jamb somewhere?
I had him look for the fender tag. He says it's there, but rusted bad and hard/impossible to read. I'll have to look at that myself later.
Checked the radiator support and found some numbers... B = Hamtramck 9 = 1969 and 6 sequence #s that I forgot to write down
Where else can we find the VIN to see if it's a real RT?
Under trunk weatherstrip? which side, where at?
Hopefully on 440 engine? where at? (pic?)
I know where to look on the 727 tranny.
Should there be a door sticker or anything?
Second owner car, original owner still alive and second owner is trying to contact them for VIN help(has phone #). Car last registered in 1975 and showing 88,000 miles on odometer. It's pretty rusty, but has been sitting up on a gooseneck trailer all this time. Been there so long the trailer decking is rotting and it will be tough to get the car off the trailer without falling through. Left rear wheel missing, otherwise complete. 440 with 727, power steering, power drum brakes, rotten vinyl top, RT emblem between the taillights (tells me it's not a 500 or a Daytona), hopefully the engine #'s match which would confirm it's a real RT right? (of coarse I'll have to double check that the engines a 440 and not a 383) Looks for all the world like an RT, I just gotta find that VIN. The guy wants $1,500 if he can find the title, or he wants me to haul it out of his yard if he can't. Sound like a good deal? Sounds like it's really rusty.
If I can't get a VIN/title and have to part it out, what percentage of the parts could swap onto my 70 roadrunner project I'm starting soon? Any?
I'll make sure to give whatever info I find to the 69 charger registry.
Thanks Again! Tav

Where are the typical places I might find a broadcast sheet in a car like this?
Tav
under the front seats behind the press board backs to the front seats (they have 2 phillips screws each on the bottom holding them on) under or behind both back seats on top of the glove box
ive never found any under the carpet or above the headliner, but others claim to have found them there
good luck

You can sometimes see the backside of the stamp from the underside of the lip, usually in the middle-ish, could be anywhere though.
I can't afford this.

Hey, that's a good tip, Thanks! Unfortunately the car never showed up at my place, so I still haven't got to see it in person yet. From what I hear, it's never been wrecked, no dents, just LOTS of rust. VIN plate on dash rusted out, fender tag hard to read due to rust, vinyl top and tarp caused lots of roof rust/may need a new roof. Red 69 Charger RT with white vinyl top. Supposedly it sold new in Orlando Florida. I'm guessing something is wrong inside the original engine. Original owner signed over the title and the car has been sitting on this homemade gooseneck trailer ever since. The next guy (who has the car now) never signed the title, so I guess whoever ends up with the car gets to be the second owner.
I'll see if I can find out what's going on with the car.
Can I enter the info I have for this car into the 69 Charger registry even if I Don't own the car?
On that same line of thinking, I know of a junkyard that has some old Chargers. Not sure if they're 69's, but I could check. Am I allowed to enter info for those cars?
Following along that same line of thinking, what about 69 chargers I see at car shows?
