Just thinking, wondering how it would look. My back bumper needs a dent removed and replated, but my front looks like a pretzel and probably needs scrapped.

I have seen it before and it didn't look very good. The chrome looks good, but rechroming is expensive.

don't do it... just save and get a set of re-chomed units.

Alrighty, but right now I'd just be happy to find a straight core.

I'd still like to see painted bumpers if anyone has them.

For some reason, painted just doesn't look right on the '67 unless maybe its a real dark color. You might take some pics of your bumper & fill out an online quote request from www.ogdenchrome.com. My 67 GTX clone's front was pretty bad & they stripped it, straightened it, and triple plated it for $429 including shipping both ways. I was simply amazed, my bumper came back perfect.

painted bumpers on 66/67 B bodies,MY opinion, look like fido's @$$.

I have used bumper boyz alot and their work is fine and they take care of any problems. They are the cheapest I know of except ofr core charges. I have heard nothing but good things about Tri-city chrome.

One more, they are chromed now. He got tired of the look & saved up for Tri-city plating.

I guess once again I'm the oddball. I kinda like it. Think it might look good on mine considering I don't have much brightwork left. Would rather have chrome, but still looks nice.

I think these cars look better with a painted bumper than with NO bumper. If the bumper on the car is to bent up to be replated, you won't be messing up a good core if you paint it. Then you could drive the car with a painted bumper until you find a great deal on a chrome bumper.

If you have a set of chrome bumpers and a set of painted bumpers along with a couple different sets of wheels you could change the look of the car from stock to custom / modified without to much effort. If you wanted to take it one step farther you could have two hoods, one with a scoop and one stock hood.

Also you can get a 'glass front bumper from

http://www.glasstek.com/ for about $200

Good luck
