Dumb question , but we all have our "firsts". 73 340 car - I pulled the upper bolt that mounts the power steering bracket, it runs throught the water pump, I was surprised when I pulled it that coolant began pouring out, stuck the bolt right back in after removing the bracket. Guess I assumed this would be a "blank" hole and wouldn't actually open up into the pump area - all is fine I assume, just gotta be quick if changing the bolt ? Thanks.

Normal they go into water for the water pump. The other side has at least one for the alt brackets that do also.Use some liquid teflon on the threads when you reinstall it.Rocky

Thanks , double checking , last two SB Chryslers I rebuilt/swapped were manual steering cars - never touched this bolt after assembly and never paid attention, so .....
