What do you guys like and why? I don't need one till spring. I also want a good quality one....Thanks!! Ted
I need to buy one too, Ted. I've been looking at the Simpson SA2010. They have one at Summit for around $250. It's a shame I can't use my Pyrotech anymore as it's only a couple of years old but it's SA2000. I also need to buy a Hahns or like device. Can't decide which yet.

Ted, make sure you try a bunch of different helmets on, to make sure you know what you are getting. They do not all fit the same, or have the same visibilty. I wear sunglasses in daylight so having a helmet I can get them on easily is a must. Mine is a HJC I picked up at a motorcycle show. Got to look at alot of different helmets there.

Seems like most everybody needs a new helmet next year. It's not easy finding a place to try on different ones, and buying one online doesn't sit well with me. That's probably what I'll end up doing though. Kyle might get my business too but I'm gonna look at the two camastomcat mentioned. Maybe a road trip to Sparks is in order.

I went with an Impact SuperSport helmet, SA rated, at the beginning of the '09 season, and love it. I know Impact had the debacle with the driver's suits, but this is a quality piece, that Impact says is 100% made in the USA. I did mine using the measurement specs on Impact's site, and it fits perfect. Check out http://www.smf.org/ for info on the different helmet ratings.
