Im looking a getting a pair of the Wheel Vintiques series 63 Mopar steel wheels. Im looking to get some info on the finsih of the wheels. I have read that they are painted, powder coated, Satin black, Gloss black..... Im hoping someone here has one or seen these in person and comment to their finish from the factory. Also how was the finish, are the nice, or do they need to be repainted, etc? Thanks...

I have them on my Road Runner. The paint finish looked ok when I bought them but I noticed a little rusting after a while where the 4 slots are. It's like it's a thin coat of paint that wasn't directed into all the crevices. If I was you, I would get them painted properly before fitting them.

Mick, looks good. What size are they up front 15x7 or x6 and what size tires?

I called the manufacture and they told me its a satin black powder coat....

I just got a pair of 15x8 Rally wheels.

Check them for balance and run out before you mount them. Many have had problems with them.

The finish looks nice, but by many accounts will not last, and the company itself sends them with a sticker saying they are not rust resistant.

Of my two new ones, one would not even hold air. I had to get it replaced.

I have blasted and painted about ten Pontiac, AMC, and Mopar Rally rims. They all came out good, balanced well, and held air. And that is knowing you take a chance on old rims.

Of the three brand new Wheel Vintiques, one was OK, but per manufacture reccs you need to paint it. One did not hold air and had to be replaced. One the guy at the shop said was a hassle to balance and took quite a bit of weights.
